The OVNI 650 is the flagship of the range: a 21-metre LOA sailing yacht, designed by Mortain & Mavrikios in collaboration with CBA, and built at the Alubat shipyard in Les Sables-d’Olonne.
This model reflects our approach to yacht building. At the request of design offices or in response to tenders, we work on distinctive projects that remain true to the spirit of the range, without becoming a fully bespoke one-off designed for a single owner. Owners with a specific sailing programme can therefore benefit from solutions already proven on our other models.
From hull design to the choice of interior arrangements, every stage is developed in collaboration with the architect and our teams. The yacht is currently under construction, so some of the information below will be added and updated as the project progresses.
Modern hull, flat bottom, twin rudders and a 1 000 kg lifting keel: this large sailing yacht combines the freedom of a lifting keel with the spaciousness of a yacht designed for long-distance cruising. With the keel raised, draught is reduced to 1,05 m; lowered, it extends to 3,90 m, providing better windward performance.

Anchorages off-limits to larger boats
On a yacht of this size, a fixed keel usually means staying clear of shallow waters. The OVNI 650 changes that: its lifting keel gives you the freedom to choose your anchorage rather than being limited by it.
With the keel raised, the yacht can access estuaries, sheltered coves and lagoons that a fixed-keel yacht of the same length could not reach. It can also safely take the ground on suitable seabeds, for the duration of a tide.
20 mm plate flat bottom, semi-heavy construction and twin rudders combine to provide safe, balanced handling, even as the miles build up offshore.
Interior layout, equipment, autonomy and propulsion : every option is defined according to the intended sailing programme, from coastal cruising along the European coast to a high-latitude circumnavigation.
